Dear Visitor to the NBO site!

Nordic Baltic Organisation for Professionals Working with Children and Adolescents (NBO) has grown to a formal organisation during the last ten years. In 1989 a committee was established with the Nordic countries as participants. During the next ten years it has developed cooperation between these countries and there has been held several Nordic Conferences. In the year 2001 we invited several persons from the Baltic countries to participate in the Nordic Conference. During this we made a statement togehter with the persons representing organisations in all the countries, that our intentions were to increase the cooperation between the Baltic and Nordic countries. We have already from 2002 arranged Nordic Baltic Conferences every second year. In Riga in 2007 we formally founded NBO.

We are a cross border organisation and include both mental health care and child care. This is something unique, and our member-organisations are at the present representing about 12000 - 15000 professionals in our institutions. You can look at the Statutes to find out more about what kind of activities we are arranging.
Please browse for more information in this website and don’t hesitate to take contact with us.

On behalf of the board
Lars R. Lund
Leader of NBO
